Romans 3:20-For no human being will be justified in God's sight by works of the law, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. 21-But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from law, although the law and the prophets bear witness to it, 22-the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction; 23-since all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, 24-they are justified by his Grace as a gift, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.
25-whom God put forward as an expiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins;
26-it was to prove at the present time that he himself is righteous and that he justifies him who has faith in Jesus. 27: Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On the principle of works? No, but on the principle of faith. 28-For we hold that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the law. RSV |

Galatians 3: 16- yet who know that a man is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ, & not by works of the law, because by works of the law shall no one be justified. 17-But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we ourselves were found to be sinners, is Christ then an agent of sin? Certainly not! 18-But if I build up again those things which I tore down [Authority of the Law], then I prove myself a transgressor. 19-For I through the law died to the law, that I might live to God. 20-I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; & the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me & gave himself for me. 21-I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification were through the law, then Christ died to no purpose!!!
Galatians 5:1- For Freedom Christ has set us free; stand fast therefore, & do not submit again to a yoke of slavery [Law]. 2-Now I, Paul, say to you that if you receive circumcision [the Law], Christ will be of no advantage to you. 3-I testify again to every man who receives circumcision [the Law] that he is bound to keep the whole law. 4-You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from Grace. 5-For through the Spirit, by faith, we wait for the hope of righteousness. 6-For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but Faith working through Love!!! |
